Prime Fencing Launceston

About Us

One Local Crew, Fencing Greater Launceston

Straight lines. Solid posts. Built for Tassie. We are a Launceston fencing crew, and the whole business is built around the people who actually turn up.

Prime Fencing builds Colorbond, timber, picket, pool, slat, gate and rural fencing across the city and the wider Tamar Valley. We are a service area business, so there is no showroom. We come to your block instead.

There is no sales team here and no roster of subcontractors. That limits how many jobs we run at once, and it is the reason the standard does not move between one fence and the next.

How We Work

Four Things That Do Not Change

Whether it is ten metres of paling or a whole rural boundary, these stay the same.

One Crew, Start To Finish

The people who quote your fence are the people who build it. Nothing is handed to a subcontractor you have never met, so nothing gets lost between the measure and the install.

A Real Number, In Writing

We quote on site, then put it in writing within 48 hours, itemised. You can hand that straight to a neighbour on a shared boundary instead of relaying a number from memory.

Built For This Weather

Tamar Valley winters are wet and the wind comes up the river. Post depth, footings and fixings get set for the ground and the exposure on your block, not to one standard recipe.

We Will Talk You Out Of It

If the fence you asked for is the wrong one for your block, we say so at the measure and price the one that works. A job we talk you out of costs us less than one we get wrong.

No Subbies

What One Crew Actually Means

Plenty of fencing outfits quote a job and then send whoever is free that week. It is how a business grows quickly, and it is also why two fences from the same company can come out looking nothing alike.

We do it the slower way. The person who walked your block is the person setting the posts, so what was agreed at the measure does not have to survive being passed along.

The trade-off is honest. We cannot start every job next week, and if you need a fence up in a hurry we will say so straight away rather than take a deposit and hope.

Straight Answers

What We Will Not Do

Knowing where a fencing contractor stops is worth as much as knowing what they build.

  • We do not repair or certify retaining walls. We will build a fence on top of one, but the wall itself is another trade.

  • We do not pass an ordinary picket or slat fence off as a pool barrier. A pool barrier is built to the pool safety standard or it is not one.

  • We do not give planning or legal advice. We will flag anything that looks like it needs a check with your council, but we are not the regulator.

  • We do not quote a fence down the phone. A number given without seeing the ground is a guess, and it is the customer who pays for a wrong guess.
